Right Now
Right now, faculty and students in every Cal Poly college are tackling real-world research. They're working to solve problems and make changes that will affect the day-to-day lives of people around the state, nation, and even the world. Their projects offer research opportunities usually unavailable to undergraduate students.

Accreditation Team Coming to Cal Poly in February
A team of reviewers from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) will visit Cal Poly in February. The team will be composed of faculty and administrators from peer institutions, and will be on campus meeting with students, faculty and staff February 10-12. WASC is one of six regional organizations that the federal government has authorized to accredit institutions of higher learning.

Pick Mandarins and More through February
Come pick fresh delicious Cal Poly mandarin oranges, lemons, walnuts and kiwi fruit Wednesdays from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. through February. (Rain cancels.) The Cal Poly orchards serve as living labs for crop science, irrigation and other classes.

Cal Poly Rose Float a Double Winner in 2010
The 2010 Cal Poly Rose Float captured two awards at the Rose Parade New Year's Day in Pasadena. Parade judges gave the float the Bob Hope Humor Trophy and fans gave it the Viewers' Choice Award after a day of online voting. The float is a tradition that dates back to 1949.
