Rankings and Awards

Our focus on Learn by Doing and its ability to produce a high return on investment, has consistently helped us achieve high rankings in influential university ranking publications such as U.S. News & World Report and Forbes.

Hundreds of students from across the 23-campus CSU system competed in 10 categories at the 38th annual competition.

Cal Poly competed against teams from colleges all over the country, including from Arizona, Michigan, New York and Texas.

The innovation awards are given to those who significantly impact chemistries “that contribute to downstream industries’ unmet needs and advancements in technology.”

It was the sixth time the student media group won this award, considered the pinnacle of achievement in college journalism.

Professor Leslie Hamachi was part of 19 faculty members from the U.S. and Canada chosen to receive the grant.

The prestigious grant from the National Science Foundation awards nearly $2 million to address equity and justice within the department.
