The Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) helps students and community members acquire the tools, develop the skills and cultivate the mindset of an entrepreneur so they can create economic and social value throughout the world.

Coastal Marine Sciences
The Center for Coastal Marine Sciences (CCMS) researches methods for enhancing marine life, protecting coastal habitats, adapting for climate change and more. Among the labs and facilities is a 3000-foot research pier in nearby Avila Beach, providing Cal Poly unrivaled access to the ocean and opportunities for day-to-day field work, research cruises and scientific diving programs.

In partnership with the California National Guard, the California Cybersecurity Institute (CCI) explores new cyber technologies in order to protect California from future cyber threats. The Center educates the next generation of cyber workforce and allows them to train and test tactics side by side with law enforcement professionals and cyberforensics experts.
