U.S. News & World Report ranks Cal Poly’s as the best in California and eighth in the nation for universities whose highest engineering degree offered is a bachelor's or master's. The undergraduate engineering program rankings are based solely on peer assessment surveys. To appear on the undergraduate engineering survey, a school must have an undergraduate engineering program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET).
