Construction Begins on Research Center
The William and Linda Frost Center for Research and Innovation, a $124 million interdisciplinary research center, breaks ground in May 2019. This new Science and Agriculture Teaching and Research Complex will support the educational priorities of a growing Cal Poly student and faculty population, promote interdisciplinary communities and will also provide research for undergraduate students and academic space. It will also house the CLA’s Expressive Technology Studios, which will include a 3,500-square-foot studio space, two recording studios and the same professional hardware and software found in the entertainment industry. The building will also be home to culinary and sensory facilities, undergraduate research laboratories, 46 offices and three classrooms.
