Cal Poly makes every effort to keep costs to a minimum and are proud of our consistently high rankings as a best value college for the money and proven return on investment.

Cost of Attendance

The cost to attend Cal Poly will vary depending on your program, residency status and living arrangements. Our estimates represent the average cost for a student for one academic year (fall, winter and spring quarters). Undergraduate full-time average for an international student is 45 units per academic year. Graduate full-time average is 36 units per academic year.

Financial Means

Financial means are an important factor in determining your eligibility for enrollment. Because we do not provide financial aid to international students, it is vital that you are able to show the ability to pay your educational expenses yourself or have your expenses paid for by a sponsor. You should not count on a job to offset any of your expenses. Work opportunities in San Luis Obispo are limited and subject to entrance visa regulation.
